Meghan Tinsley
I am the Presidential Fellow in Ethnicity and Inequalities at the University of Manchester. My research examines the racialisation of nations through state violence and the memory thereof. I hold a PhD in Sociology from Boston University (2018); an MSc in Race, Ethnicity, and Postcolonial Studies from the London School of Economics (2010); and a BA in International Relations and French from Wellesley College (2007). My book, Mobilising Memory: Commemorating Muslims in the First World War, is under contract with Routledge. My work has also been published in a number of international, interdisciplinary journals, including Ethnic and Racial Studies, Memory Studies, Current Sociology, and Postcolonial Studies.
